Automated Training Feedback in running.COACH

Structured training helps you progress – but how well do you stick to the plan? With the new feature in running.COACH, you will receive automated feedback after each planned session, showing you how accurately you followed your training. This allows you to analyze your progress even better and optimize your workouts more effectively.

After each planned workout, running.COACH calculates a Completion Index, which shows in percentage form how precisely you adhered to the prescribed training plan. The evaluation considers the following factors:

  • Distance
  • Duration
  • Pace
  • Heart Rate
  • Load

Only workouts planned by running.COACH receive a rating. This ensures the focus remains on structured sessions designed to enhance your performance effectively. Unplanned or spontaneous runs do not contribute to the rating (though non-scheduled sessions are still considered when assessing overall performance development).

How Does the Analysis Work?

Once you complete your workout and upload the GPS data, running.COACH evaluates your session. The analysis is particularly insightful for interval training and tempo runs, where high-intensity segments are specifically identified and assessed separately. This gives you a detailed overview of how accurately you followed the intensity targets.

Where Can You Find Your Feedback?

The beta version is currently live and is only available in the app. You can find the feedback for your most recent workout directly on the dashboard. For all other sessions, the feedback is available on the detailed training page, which you can access via the calendar by clicking on the completed session.
