10 days left until the start of the New York Marathon!
We’re thrilled to follow Matthias in these final days leading up to the New York Marathon! The excitement is building — can he take running.COACH into the top 10 on the world’s biggest marathon stage?
Today, we’re focusing on his goal for the race.
Matthias Kyburz has set himself a clear target for the New York Marathon: a place in the top 10. After several strong performances in recent months – including impressive runs over both the marathon and half-marathon distances – he’s ready to prove that he can compete with the world’s best.
But he also knows that the New York Marathon is unlike any other race: the rolling course, the bridges, the stretch through Central Park, and the absence of pacemakers make it a true tactical challenge. “A top-10 result in New York seems ambitious, but realistic,” says Kyburz.
It won’t just be about running a fast time, but about pacing wisely, staying patient, and having the courage to take risks when it matters most.
As the running.COACH community, we’re fully behind him – together we’re aiming for a top-10 finish!
